N-PAF, under its ongoing Community Food Security and Empowerment Project, has proactively taken a step to strengthen local capacity in sustainable agriculture and ecological resilience. As part of this initiative, two staff members from the organization have been sent to participate in a 13-day intensive Permaculture Design Course (PDC). This specialized training aims to equip them with in-depth knowledge and practical skills in permaculture.
The main objective of sending these two staff members is to develop them as resource person in the field of permaculture and agroecology. Upon completion of the training, they are expected to play a pivotal role in practicing, promoting and disseminating permaculture principles and agroecological practices in the community and eventually establish themselves as permaculture experts.
The training was organized by the Himalayan Permaculture Center (HPC), based in Surkhet.
